CENTER PRESENTATIONS AT INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR DENTAL
RESEARCH
THE DEROUEN CENTER HAS FIVE INTERACTIVE TALKS AT THE
2023 IADR CONFERENCE
Five interactive talks presented at
the 2023 IADR conference came from DeRouen Center research. Presenters
included Ana Lucia Seminario, Arthur Kemoli, Eraldo Pesaressi, Johanna
Belen Juarez and Sara Stanley.
Dr.
Marco Alarcon is a Periodontist at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia
in Lima, Peru and President of the Peruvian Association of Periodontics
and Osseointegration.
The kickoff of the
UW DeRouen Center's NIH R21 grant entitled "Dynamics of
HIV-infection, oral innate immunity and the development of oral
diseases in children" took place in Kisumu, Kenya in
February 2023.

CENTER
Waranuch Pitiphat
is a Thai researcher who has made significant contributions to
the field of oral health, with her work receiving recognition and
support from the NIH's Fogarty International Center.

Dr.
Frank Roberts is a Periodontist and Associate Dean for International and
Regional Affairs at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. In
this video Dr. Roberts talks about his journey in oral health.

knowledge, attitudes and skills learned in an oral health
education program among pediatric dental and medical residents,
and pediatric and family nurse practitioners.
